Grief support group Volunteers will work with children, teen and adult support groups. All grief support group volunteers complete professional training session and a background check prior to volunteering.

Each of the grief support groups are led by 2 – 3 volunteers who are overseen by a Grief Support Group Program Coordinator.  Grief Support Groups run in an 8 week cycle, once a week for an hour and a half where an outlined topic and activity are performed.

Volunteers may be working on or have an educational background in counseling, social work or know from experience what grief feels like, some simply may want to gain a better understanding of grief, while others just want to help people in some significant way.
